Prescott
$6,950

Prescott is a stunning and authentic Edwardian (circa 1915) platinum ring centering a beautiful 0.76ct EGL certified Transitional Brilliant Cut diamond graded E color and VS2 clarity. The high quality center diamond is featured in a lovely bombe style setting and enhanced with an additional eight Single Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.20ct in weight. Prescott is further adorned by amazing linear filigree work along the gallery, handcrafted engraving along the shoulders and subtle milgraining along the platinum edges. Prescott is currently a size 6.25 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.

During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.

Amalfi
$15,500

Amalfi is a spectacular and authentic Art Deco (circa 1930) platinum and diamond engagement ring. The ring features a bezel set 2.57cts EGL certified Old European Cut diamond graded M color and SI2 clarity. A delightful halo of fourteen Single Cut diamonds gracefully surround the center diamond, each individually bezel set and totaling approximately 0.30ct in weight. Amalfi is finished with a lovely, triple split platinum shank. The ring is currently a size 6.75 and can be sized to fit.

The most characteristic feature of Art Deco jewelry is the emphasis on bold, geometric designs. The “Roaring 20’s” ushered in a new desire to live life to the fullest, which was very much reflected in the era’s jewelry designs.

Union Square
$15,000

This ring is currently out on loan for a photoshoot and will be back in the office the week of May 1st! If you're interested in purchasing it, please contact our concierge to discuss timing. Thanks!

Union Square is the amazing "little" sister of Empire State, both of which are handmade vintage-inspired engagement rings that were crafted here in Los Angeles. The ring is modeled after a stunning Edwardian era (circa 1910) ring called Manhattan that sold very quickly on the site. This platinum and 18k rose gold beauty centers an antique Cushion Cut diamond accompanied by a GIA certificate stating the diamond is 1.50cts and graded J color and VS1 clarity. Due to the spread of the stone, it has the illusion of over a 2.00 carat diamond, creating a substantial presence on the hand. Union Square is flanked on either side by four Single Cut diamonds totaling exactly 0.11ct in weight. The ring is finished with a touch of milgraining along the platinum shoulders. It is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit.

Castle Pines

This vintage beauty centers a four-prong set 0.77ct EGL certified Old European Cut diamond graded H color and VS2 clarity. As economic growth expanded the upper middle class in the 1950s, jewelry reflected this new prosperity with flashy, dramatic designs and a focus on diamond stones. The basic designs were quite similar to the Retro period, but were executed differently, often featuring textured accents and engraved finishes.

Coldwater Canyon
$4,950

Coldwater Canyon is a sophisticated and authentic Late Victorian era (circa 1900) 14k yellow gold ring featuring five vertically set vintage stones graduating in size. The center prong set Old European Cut diamond is gauged at approximately 0.55ct, graded I-J color and VS clarity. The ring is lined with an additional two diamonds alternating with two beautifully saturated sapphires. The diamonds add an additional 0.60ct in approximate combined weight each graded J-K color and VS clarity. The perfectly saturated Round Cut natural sapphires add an additional 0.90ct in weight. The incredible, one-of-a-kind ring is a unique example from the Victorian era and a true favorite here at Trumpet & Horn. Coldwater Canyon is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit.

The Victorian Period was named for Queen Victoria, who inherited the throne of England in 1837 when she was only 18 years old. Victoria was young, beautiful, and loved immensely by her subjects. Her tastes in fashion and jewelry were highly regarded and inspired the Victorian jewelry trends of the time. Queen Victoria was married in 1840, and she wore a snake motif ring (a symbol of eternal love at the time) set with her birthstone, a brilliant green emerald, as her engagement ring. In the Victorian era, it was very common for birthstones to be used instead of diamonds for engagement rings. After Victoria’s beloved Albert passed away in 1861, the queen went into the customary mourning period for 18 months, which inspired the gold lockets and black jet pieces commonly seen in this period.
