Oakmore
$3,950

Oakmore is a charming authentic Victorian era (circa 1895) diamond engagement ring made from 14k yellow gold. This antique solitaire centers a 0.61ct EGL certified Old Mine Cut diamond graded G color and VS2 clarity. The gleaming vintage stone shines solo from a simple six prong setting adorned with a rich, high-polished and softly tapered shank. Oakmore is currently a size 6.75 and can be sized to fit.

The Victorian Period was named for Queen Victoria, who inherited the throne of England in 1837 when she was only 18 years old. Victoria was young, beautiful, and loved immensely by her subjects. Her tastes in fashion and jewelry were highly regarded and inspired the Victorian jewelry trends of the time. Queen Victoria was married in 1840, and she wore a snake motif ring (a symbol of eternal love at the time) set with her birthstone, a brilliant green emerald, as her engagement ring. In the Victorian era, it was very common for birthstones to be used instead of diamonds for engagement rings. After Victoria’s beloved Albert passed away in 1861, the queen went into the customary mourning period for 18 months, which inspired the gold lockets and black jet pieces commonly seen in this period.

Chadwick
$2,450

Chadwick is romantic and authentic Art Nouveau (circa 1905) 14k yellow gold ring with a slightly rosy overtone. This unique and dainty ring centers a six-prong set 0.37ct EGL certified Round Brilliant Cut diamond graded H color and SI3 clarity. The diamond is flanked on the top and bottom by four seed pearls, each approximately 2mm in diameter, and is further enhanced with curved open metalwork along each shoulder. This delicate ring's low profile makes it a perfect option for anyone looking for a pearl and diamond combination. Chadwick is currently a size 5 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.

In contrast to the concurrent Edwardian period, jewelry from the Art Nouveau period was an artistic revolt against the technological advances of the industrial age, instead focusing heavily on handcrafting and creative design. In this jewelry, unusual gemstones like opal, agate, and moonstone were popular, and diamonds were more often used as subtle accents.

Palomar
$8,950

Palomar is an impeccable and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1915) platinum engagement ring. This detailed beauty centers a 0.99ct EGL certified Old European Cut diamond graded H color and VS2 clarity. At just under 1 carat, the incredible center diamond carries a fantastic price tag for its look. Palomar is surrounded by a halo of fourteen single Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.15ct in weight. The ring is finished with stunning linear filigree throughout the gallery, floral metalwork along the shoulders, and a touch of milgraining throughout — true examples of Edwardian craftsmanship. Palomar is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit.

During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
