Devonshire Lakes
$2,950

Devonshire Lakes is a beautifully handcrafted and authentic Late Victorian era (dated 1904) 18k yellow gold ring. This antique opal and diamond ring has clearly marked English Hallmarks on the inside shank indicating that it was made in Birmingham, England in 1904. This beautiful ring centers three polished Oval white opals ranging in length from approximately 5.50mm to 7.16mm, each displaying an array of rainbow play-of-color. Devonshire Lakes is finished with four Old Mine Cut diamonds that flank the center opal, with a total weight of 0.02ct. The ring is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.

The Victorian Period was named for Queen Victoria, who inherited the throne of England in 1837 when she was only 18 years old. Victoria was young, beautiful, and loved immensely by her subjects. Her tastes in fashion and jewelry were highly regarded and inspired the Victorian jewelry trends of the time. Queen Victoria was married in 1840, and she wore a snake motif ring (a symbol of eternal love at the time) set with her birthstone, a brilliant green emerald, as her engagement ring. In the Victorian era, it was very common for birthstones to be used instead of diamonds for engagement rings. After Victoria’s beloved Albert passed away in 1861, the queen went into the customary mourning period for 18 months, which inspired the gold lockets and black jet pieces commonly seen in this period.

Alcomb
$3,950

Albcomb is a classic and authentic Late Art Deco (circa 1930) 18k white gold cluster ring. This lovely engagement ring centers a pristine bezel set Old European Cut diamond gauged at approximately 0.45ct and graded J-K color and SI clarity. A simple halo of eleven Old Mine Cut diamonds surround the center stone, totaling approximately 0.65ct in weight. We believe the ring was made in the 1930's using accent halo stones that were a lot older, most likely dating back to circa 1900. Alcomb is finished with a simple, comfort fit shank and is currently a size 8 and can be sized to fit.

The most characteristic feature of Art Deco jewelry is the emphasis on bold, geometric designs. The “Roaring 20’s” ushered in a new desire to live life to the fullest, which was very much reflected in the era’s jewelry designs.
