The basic designs were quite similar to the Retro period, but were executed differently, often featuring textured accents and engraved finishes.

Crimson Way
$3,400

Crimson Way is a gorgeous and authentic Victorian era (circa 1900) 14k rose gold cluster ring. This petite ring centers a vivid pinkish-red Round ruby gauged at 0.30ct. The stone is accompanied by a Guild Laboratories certificate stating the ruby is Unheated with Burmese origin, which is the most rare, valuable and coveted ruby combination. Crimson Way is further accented by a halo of seven Old Mine Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.50ct and adding incredible sparkle to the ring. The ring is finished with a simple 14k rose gold shank that slightly tapers. Crimson Way is currently a size 7.25 and can be sized to fit.

Much of the popular Victorian jewelry was inspired by Queen Victoria’s style. For example, birthstones were popular in engagement rings because Victoria wore hers with an emerald. The Victorian era is further divided into Early (1837–1860), Mid (1860–1885), and Late (1890–1901) periods, reflecting changes in Victoria’s life and personal style. Early and late Victorian period jewelry is often described as having a romantic look, but mid-Victorian style is darker and more sentimental, reflecting Victoria’s personal period of mourning after the loss of her husband and mother.

Evergreen
$8,800

Evergreen is a show-stopping example of Art Deco (circa 1925) design. This platinum ring centers a long Rectangular Step Cut emerald accompanied by a Guild laboratories certificate stating the emerald weighs approximately 0.80ct with Colombian origin and Minor Clarity enhancement. The vivid green emerald is flanked on either side by a total of four Baguette Cut diamonds each bezel set, with a total approximate weight of 0.70ct, each graded F-G color and VS clarity. The fabulous ring exemplifies Art Deco design with its geometric and angular design. Evergreen sits low on the finger which makes it easy to wear everyday. It is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit some additional ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions. Please note, the emerald has a minor chip in the corner. We could not remove the emerald to be polished for fear of disturbing the setting.

Antique Art Deco jewelry reflects the style and spirit associated with the roaring twenties, featuring bold geometric designs. Diamonds were typically a focal point, but calibre cut sapphires, rubies, and emeralds were among the stones used to add splashes of color.

Felix
$800

Felix is a sweet and whimsical Art Nouveau (circa 1900) 14k rose gold ring that originally started out life as part of an antique brooch. This fun ring displays the bust of a fox, detailed with two Round ruby eyes totaling approximately 0.05ct in weight. The ring is finished with a simple 14k rose gold shank that was added by Trumpet & Horn. Felix is currently a size 6.25 and can be sized to fit.

In contrast to the concurrent Edwardian period, jewelry from the Art Nouveau period was an artistic revolt against the technological advances of the industrial age, instead focusing heavily on handcrafting and creative design. In this jewelry, unusual gemstones like opal, agate, and moonstone were popular, and diamonds were more often used as subtle accents.

Woodway
$5,800

Woodway is stunning and authentic Victorian era platinum topped 18k yellow gold ring with highly coveted English hallmarks on the inside shank. The hallmarks indicate that the ring was made in London in 1876. This antique cluster ring centers an eight prong set 0.57ct EGL certified Old European Cut diamond graded J color and VVS2 clarity. Woodway is finished with a halo of eight Old Mine Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.75ct. The ring is finished with an 18k yellow gold split shank that is original to the setting. The ring is currently a size 8.25 and can be sized to fit.

The Victorian Period was named for Queen Victoria, who inherited the throne of England in 1837 when she was only 18 years old. Victoria was young, beautiful, and loved immensely by her subjects. Her tastes in fashion and jewelry were highly regarded and inspired the Victorian jewelry trends of the time. Queen Victoria was married in 1840, and she wore a snake motif ring (a symbol of eternal love at the time) set with her birthstone, a brilliant green emerald, as her engagement ring. In the Victorian era, it was very common for birthstones to be used instead of diamonds for engagement rings. After Victoria’s beloved Albert passed away in 1861, the queen went into the customary mourning period for 18 months, which inspired the gold lockets and black jet pieces commonly seen in this period.
