Citrus Grove
$2,600

Citrus Grove is a fabulous and authentic Victorian era (Circa 1890) 14k yellow gold that originally started out life as a pair of Victorian earrings. We transformed them into two pair of delightful rings with newly handmade shanks. The ring features a round white cabochon Australian opal gauged at 5.4mm weighing exactly 0.38ct in weight. The center opal displays a beautiful array of play-of-color — mostly red and orange which are the two most coveted colors in an opal overtone. Citrus Grove is further surrounded by a scintillating halo of eleven prong-set Old Mine Cut diamonds that total approximately 0.27ct in weight. The ring is finished with simple 14k yellow gold shank. The ring is currently a size 6 and can be sized to fit.

The Victorian Period was named for Queen Victoria, who inherited the throne of England in 1837 when she was only 18 years old. Victoria was young, beautiful, and loved immensely by her subjects. Her tastes in fashion and jewelry were highly regarded and inspired the Victorian jewelry trends of the time. Queen Victoria was married in 1840, and she wore a snake motif ring (a symbol of eternal love at the time) set with her birthstone, a brilliant green emerald, as her engagement ring. In the Victorian era, it was very common for birthstones to be used instead of diamonds for engagement rings. After Victoria’s beloved Albert passed away in 1861, the queen went into the customary mourning period for 18 months, which inspired the gold lockets and black jet pieces commonly seen in this period.

Brookshire
$5,950

Brookshire is an incredible and authentic Late Art Deco (circa 1935) 18k white gold cocktail ring featuring a winning combination of stones. The ring centers a large oval cabochon Australian white opal gauged at 18mm x 11mm in diameter. The beautiful opal displays mostly green and blue play-of-color with a hint of orange. Brookshire is further accented with a decorative marquise shaped halo of twenty eight Old European and Transitional Brilliant Cut diamonds with a total approximate weight of 0.85ct in weight. The ring is finished with lovely subtle milgraining along the 18k white gold edges and a hand engraved chevron motif along the shoulders. Brookshire is currently a size 7.25 and can be sized to fit.

The most characteristic feature of Art Deco jewelry is the emphasis on bold, geometric designs. The “Roaring 20’s” ushered in a new desire to live life to the fullest, which was very much reflected in the era’s jewelry designs.
