Congratulations to our latest T&H Couple, Kallie & Michael! Kallie is the adorable and talented writer behind the fashion & lifestyle blog But First, Coffee. She wrote a fantastic account of their perfect engagement on her blog, complete with pictures and all of the tiny details! Here's a little summary, but we definitely recommend heading over to her blog and checking out the full story and all of the photographs, too sweet! Michael purchased Hollingsworth, a gorgeous Edwardian era solitaire engagement ring, for Kallie, knowing that the classic, antique style would perfectly compliment her refined taste. Michael completely surprised Kallie with a weekend in New York City, one of their favorite and most cherished destinations. She thought they were just headed to lunch in Connecticut with Michael's parents, but he kept on driving and eventually revealed that he'd packed her bags (makeup and all!) for a weekend getaway in the Big Apple. They checked into the famous Empire Hotel & headed up to the rooftop for a pre-dinner cocktail. Under the iconic "Hotel Empire" sign, Michael got down on one knee and proposed to Kallie with Hollingsworth. She gleefully said "YES!", and the surprises continued to stream in! Her parents appeared to celebrate with them that evening. The next morning, they shopped and then went to a brewery in Brooklyn where Michael had arranged for their closest friends to meet them.
