Herringbone

sold out!

Herringbone is an extraordinary and authentic Art Nouveau (circa 1905) silver-topped, 14k yellow gold ring engagement ring. Our gemology team believes it was originally a necklace clasp that was converted into this stunning ring during the 1930's. Herringbone centers a bezel set 1.74ct EGL certified Old Mine Cushion Brilliant Cut diamond graded L color and SI2 clarity and is flanked on the top and bottom by two bezel set Rose Cut diamonds gauged 0.25ct total weight, graded I-J color and SI clarity. The ring is finished with two lovely petals on each side that meet the center diamond ever so delicately. Each petal is graced with a single Rose Cut diamond. This ring is such a unique addition to the T&H collection and we are excited to show it off! Herringbone is currently a size 8 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
In contrast to the concurrent Edwardian period, jewelry from the Art Nouveau period was an artistic revolt against the technological advances of the industrial age, instead focusing heavily on handcrafting and creative design. In this jewelry, unusual gemstones like opal, agate, and moonstone were popular, and diamonds were more often used as subtle accents.
