Lyman is a beautiful example of an authentic early Edwardian era (circa 1905) ring. This navette style ring is made with platinum topped 18k yellow gold and centers a 0.16ct Old European Cut diamond graded F-G color and SI clarity. Four Old Mine Cut diamond grace each point of this diamond shaped ring totaling approximately 0.30ct. and is framed on the outside by twenty-two Rose Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.20ct. The ring epitomizes the use of open filigree work and can be considered a true work of art. Lyman is currently a size 6 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
